Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I used Buffer to help automatically schedule social media posts on Facebook, Twitter and Google Plus when Google Plus was still a thing. It was used by me for a sole proprietorship business client. It helped us put consistent content out of social media without having to babysit social media every day. We can frontload the content by the week.

Pros

  • Schedule multiple platforms at once
  • Offers multiple platforms to choose from
  • Can schedule across time zones

Cons

  • Translation of links need works sometimes the images if an article will not translate to a post when it buffers

Likelihood to Recommend

Might not be the best as a company grows and scales and yoh want advanced analytics and sometimes a post would fail to Buffer due to website error or it won't translate out well when buffered

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Buffer helps our company stay organized and on top of social posts. I am the only marketing employee, and I often forget to post social posts until it's too late. Buffer helps me plan ahead and schedule posts ahead of time so I don't have to worry about it as much. I just spend one day scheduling all of our posts for the month and Buffer does the rest for me.

Pros

  • Scheduling Social Posts
  • Multi Platform Posting
  • Clean, Easy to Use Dashboard

Cons

  • We don't get as much engagement from Buffer posts on LinkedIn for some reason.
  • Wish we could seamlessly connect to Hubspot

Likelihood to Recommend

Buffer is well suited for those who want to have a set social media post schedule. It's easy to schedule multiple posts on all different platforms to save you time and mental energy from making manual posts every day. As a single person team, it's almost essential for me to stay afloat.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

A great way to schedule social media posts. I'm ghost writing for a client, this way I get access to his social media accounts without actually getting access to it. For the paid version, there is even an option to review and approve posts

Pros

  • social media scheduling
  • social media analytics

Cons

  • time zone adjustment

Likelihood to Recommend

Even if you have one social media account, I use Buffer. Its great to stay organized. I'm sure the paid version is worth it if we have more accounts to manage or needed some of the paid versions. Its simple and works well.

End Social Media Stress

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I use Buffer for various clients who need to start scheduling their company social posts for B2C or B2B. We like to introduce our small startup clients to Buffer because it’s not over complicated. When clients begin to realize they need help juggling the hats they wear, Buffer helps take some of their worry away. Hiring a social media manager is financially out of reach for many startups and Buffer is affordable.

Pros

  • Free version for up to 3 platforms
  • Connects very easily to social media platforms
  • Allows you to customize your post for each platform
  • Has a great Google extension that allows you share articles and news quickly from your browser.
  • Includes a calendar view for content management.

Cons

  • I can’t seem to Tag companies on LinkedIn anymore. At one time I was able to. Perhaps my client needs the paid version.
  • I still find posting to Instagram confusing at times and need to tag.
  • Scheduling seems easy but it never fails that something gets messed up when setting up new accounts. Especially when the account holder has a different time zone than the place they are posting. I’m sure it our error but still frustrating.

Likelihood to Recommend

Buffer is great for very professional companies especially for LinkedIn or Facebook . If you are looking to craft more creative content for Instagram or TikTok, for example, I’d keep looking.

Affordable and easy to use.

Our team uses Buffer and its tools to schedule and post social media content (images, videos, etc) and prepare monthly social media analytic reports.

Pros

  • Scheduling.
  • Analytic tools.

Cons

  • Scheduling gifs.

Likelihood to Recommend

The best part of Buffer is its price point. It is very affordable, especially for smaller organizations like mine. We also like that we can add all of the social media accounts and pages that we need to post for our clients and prepare the reports.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We used Buffer to schedule our social media posts. It does all the things you'd expect from a social media scheduler, and it also has some cool features that make it quicker and easier to post things. It has a neat AI assistant that recommends / writes content - and it's a really easy to use interface for that, quite graphical. Plus it has a browser extension that can be used to share or schedule links really easily, so that as I'm browsing the web on other sites I can easily click and schedule shared content.

Pros

  • Schedule social media - across all the major platforms
  • Generate AI content, in a way that makes it look good
  • Show analytics to help make better future content
  • Easy collaboration tools to work with a VA or team

Cons

  • Sometimes we have to reconnect the social platform services
  • Doesn't have deep tools for managing other aspects of social media
  • Not designed for realtime engagement

Likelihood to Recommend

If you want to have a consistently busy posting schedule, Buffer lets you schedule heaps of things in advance and has specific tools that make it easier, like recurring posts and a content library. Even the AI tool is designed specifically for creating a bunch of posts and scheduling them into the content mix.

It is perfect for anyone in marketing.

Great functionality for small teams

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Buffer helped us craft and schedule social media posts for our different accounts, view our scheduled and published posts on a calendar, and keep track of engagement on posts. Our use was limited to three social media accounts and the free version was still very good, even with just that scope.

Pros

  • Scheduling posts
  • Drafting posts
  • Social calendar

Cons

  • Drafting features (e.g. links)
  • Limited content features
  • Some calendar issues

Likelihood to Recommend

Very well suited for the big social platforms: Facebook, IG, LinkedIn, X. The software isn't as suited for content creation outside of social media, but it is mainly a social media app so I wouldn't use it first for other things (blogging, newsletter, website copy) anyway.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Buffer allows me to manage my company's multiple social media accounts at scale. It takes the guess work out of scheduling, and automatically posts content that you add to the queue. We have multiple businesses, each with their own set of profiles. A tool like Buffer is necessary in today's business world.

Pros

  • scheduling
  • posting
  • managing

Cons

  • reporting
  • specialized posts not fully supported (stories, carousel, etc)

Likelihood to Recommend

Buffer is a great solution and a reasonable price point.

A Simple, Easy-to-Use Social Media Management Tool

Rating: 8 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I've used Buffer at multiple organizations, and it's become my go-to for social media management. It's one of the most affordable options on the market, and it has a user-friendly interface that is easy for me to onboard other managers to take over. It provides decent enough analytics to understand what's performing (and what's not) to inform content strategies and audience engagement.

Pros

  • Easy-to-use interface
  • Great calendar and scheduling features
  • Simple analytics

Cons

  • More integrations with other social media platforms
  • Pricing isn't tailored to soloprenuers

Likelihood to Recommend

Buffer is a great, easy-to-use social media management tool. It doesn't do anything new or exclusive, but I love its simplicity and its interface and scheduling features. It really caters to speed and processes rather than comprehensive workflows. It's more affordable than some of its competitors, which is why it's one of my go-to choices.
